What are the black lines I'm seeing under doorways and around my baseboards?
If you have light colored carpet, you may have experienced these dark lines that appear on the carpet. This soiling is called filtration
soiling because it comes from air passing through the carpet as it is attempting to get through the crack between the carpet and the
baseboard or under a closed door. As the air passes through the edge of the carpet pile, this microscopic soiling is deposited there
(hence the term filtration soiling). This occurs over a significant period of time and is not noticed until a build up has occurred.

How long will it take my carpet to dry?
Drying times can vary depending on humidity levels, airflow, and the type of carpet involved. On average it takes 2-24 hours for a
carpet to thoroughly dry. Of course, turning on your air conditioning or heating system helps to speed up this process. You can walk
on your carpet as soon as our crew has finished cleaning. Please remember to remove your street shoes first to avoid re-soiling and
be careful not to slip when moving from damp carpets to hard surfaces.

Is it true that it's best to put off having your carpets cleaned for as long as possible?
No. In fact, many of the major carpet mills today recommend professional cleaning at least once every 6-8 months. The build up of
soil in your carpet, in combination with foot traffic, creates an abrasion that breaks down your carpet's fibres. The higher the traffic
in a given area, the more often the carpet will need cleaning.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please call us if you need to cancel an appointment.  Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice (weekends and holidays included)
will be charged a cancellation fee of $25.00.

Do you have gift certificates?
We certainly do! Please call our number at the top of the page if you are in need of a gift certificate. Gift certificates will be coming
to the website shortly.

What do I have to do before the cleaning?
In order to provide you with a high quality service, we ask you to take a few minutes the night before to pick up personal clothing,
toys and other household items.

If I have pets, do I need to secure them while your team is cleaning?
If your pets are friendly they may be left out while our team is there. If you are unsure how they may react to new people or
equipment, it is best to secure them in a safe place away from the areas we will be cleaning.

How often should I have my upholstered furniture cleaned?
Most manufacturers recommend having upholstered furniture cleaned every 12-24 months, depending on how often it is used.

Do I really need to have my upholstered furniture cleaned?
Up to 80 percent of the everyday dirt and dust carried into most homes can settle onto the carpets and upholstered furniture.
Therefore, having your furniture professionally cleaned has two important benefits. First, professional cleaning helps prevent damage
to the upholstery fabric by removing soil and sand, which can slowly scratch the fabric and permanently alter its appearance.
Second, and even more important, professional cleaning removes dust and other allergens or pollutants that can affect the air
quality in your home. Professional cleaning is especially important if you or your family have asthma, allergies or sensitivities to air
pollutants. Putting cushion covers in the washing machine can cause fading, shrinkage, and fabric deterioration. We can provide a
much safer and healthier deep cleaning without causing damage to your furniture.

How long will it take my furniture to dry?
Drying times vary, depending on the cleaning method used and the optional application of fabric protector, as well as other factors,
such as humidity levels and air ventilation. If our state-of-the-art hot-water extraction method is used, the average drying time is 1-6
hours.
